Discovering New COVID-19 Treatments

You can help researchers discover which medicines are most likely to help people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Because COVID-19 is a new disease, right now there are few treatments available. Researchers are hard at work looking for treatments, and several potential treatments are currently being studied in clinical trials.

You cannot participate in this study if you have received a COVID-19 vaccination.

Who is this study for?

You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria:

You are 65 years of age or older.
You are 55 years of age or older and have one of the following:

Cardiovascular Disease
Hypertension
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or other chronic respiratory disease.

You are 18 years of age or older and have one of the following:

BMI higher then or equal to 35
Chronic Kidney Disease
Type 1 or 2 Diabetes
HIV or recent chemotherapy

The study clinicians will further assess your medical history to determine your eligibility.

You may receive.

If you qualify for the study you may receive:

Study-related evaluations of your COVID-19 symptoms and overall health.*
You may receive investigational drug and study-related care at no cost.
You may receive compensation for your participation.

*You do not need insurance to participate.

You must have symptoms of COVID-19 to participate in this study.

Your positive test must have occurred in the last 10 days.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

COVID-19 can make some people really sick and others not so sick.
Symptoms vary from mild (not so bad) to severe (really bad) and can even be life-threatening.

Symptoms may not show up for days. The virus has an incubation period of about 2 to 14 days. So it’s possible that some people may spread the virus without even knowing they have it.

Some people are more likely than others to get really sick–like those with certain health problems or the elderly, but that doesn’t mean young people can’t get really sick, too.
